SANSEVIERIA SP. ZIMBABWE

Sansevieria Sp. Zimbabwe   This sansevieria is very rare because there are so few in cultivation.  Originally from Zimbabwe,  the habitat in the wild was completely destroyed.

The plant has very thick leaves as you can see in the pictures.  It is very slow growing.  Very little is still known about this plant.  Unlike Sansevieria Eilensis which has already found its way to quite a few private collections,  this particular sansevieria is still very rare.

I will post more information about this plant in the future.

SANSEVIERIA SP. -GREEN FORM - WIDE LEAF

SANSEVIERIA SP. 21833 - GREEN FORM - WIDE LEAF. This sansevieria was introduced at the same time last year as Sansevieria Sp. 20849.

Also from Tanzania, west of Mafinga, it is one of the sansevierias sp. included in the so called "dragon series"

The leaves are green in color and not as thick as the Sansevieria Sp. "Dragon King". But a mature form is about 1 1/2 inches thick at the base. The leaves tends to grow dark green in color with age as the pictures shows.

Since it is one of the newest introduction to the market, this sansevieria will surely be a favourite also.

SANSEVIERIA SP. "DRAGON KING"

SANSEVIERIA SP. NOVA 20849 BLUE FORM,  better known in Asia as Sansevieria Dragon King is one of the very interesting new sansevierias introduced from Tanzania.

This sansevieria has very thick leaves. Leaves are bluish in color and the markings are unmistakable to this sansevieria.

When it was introduced to the market last year, there were some controversies regarding the identity of this sansevieria. Quite a few collectors are saying that it is the same as Sansevieria Kirkii Silver Blue which is also from Tanzania. But as you can see in the pictures, and if you happen to own one, you will agree with me that it is far different from Sansevieria Kirkii Silver Blue.

This very attractive Sansevieria Sp. Nova 20849 Blue Form, will remain to be a prized collections by collectors for years to come. Your collection will simply be lacking without one in your possession.

SANSEVIERIA RORIDA

Sansevieria Rorida is one of the unique and beautiful sansevieria around. Formerly known as Lavranos 23319, from Somalia. Leaves are bluish in color.

It is unusual because offsets from the mother plant and leaf propagations produce small plants with fan-like shape leaves. Normally, leaf progation produce plantlets with rosette forming leaves. There are many supposed roridas being sold in the market nowadays, but the real Sansevieria Rorida is still rare among the collectors.
